Guelph GoGo Grandmothers (4Gs)
The Stephen Lewis Foundation’s grassroots partners are critical actors in the response to the COVID-19 response in sub-Saharan Africa. We have received many questions from our supporters asking how our partners are doing and looking for updates on their work and the communities they serve. In the upcoming series of Voices, we will share the stories of their work and how community-based organizations are best placed to protect and support the most vulnerable populations.
. . . Our partners are working tirelessly to ensure that communities affected by HIV and AIDS continue to have the support they need. As an act of solidarity in this time of global vulnerability, please consider donating to the SLF COVID-19 Appeal.

4Gs: Who we are
We are part of a movement working to, "Turn the tide of HIV&AIDS in Africa." We're one of 250+ Canadian, (plus in 2017 in Australia, Great Britain and USA), groups of GrandMothers and GrandOthers, committed to contributing to the Grandmothers to Grandmothers (G2G) Campaign of the Stephen Lewis Foundation (SLF).
SLF works in partnership with community-based organizations in Sub -Saharan Africa , "Turning the tide of AIDS in Africa"! (Click here to learn about our beginnings and our beautiful logo.)
What we do
We pool our unique resources: – time, money, talents and passions - through our activities of fundraising, education and advocacy.
All proceeds donated to the Grandmothers Campaign, an initiative of the Stephen Lewis Foundation:
1. To raise funds for the Grandmothers to Grandmothers Campaign of the Stephen Lewis Foundation
2. To raise awareness in ourselves and in our community of the needs of African grandmothers and the grassroots work of the Stephen Lewis Foundation.
3. To build solidarity among African and Canadian grandmothers in order to better understand and sustain the vital work being done to turn the "Tide of AIDS" in Africa.
"We will not rest until they rest."
Canadian grandmothers' statement of commitment made at the birth of the
Grandmothers to Grandmothers Campaign (Toronto 2006). During that time a deep and cherished bond of solidarity has grown between us!
